It Started with Five Highland Cows
Webb Cattle Company began with a love of cattle, years of livestock experience and five Scottish Highland cows that changed the direction of the farm.
Gara and Brad Webb were raising commercial Angus-cross cattle in Missouri when Gara purchased those first Highlands in 2019. Their long hair, calm nature and distinctive character quickly made an impression but building a Highland program required more than falling in love with the breed
It required thoughtful breeding decisions, continued education, careful recordkeeping and a willingness to learn from every calf crop.
Today, Webb Cattle Company raises Scottish Highland cattle on its farm near Ludlow, Missouri. The program includes AHCA-registered Highlands as well as carefully selected miniature, micro and midsize cattle developed for breeders with a variety of herd goals.
What started with five cows has grown into a comprehensive cattle and genetics program offering livestock, semen, embryos, online cattle sales, breeder education and hands-on artificial insemination training.
Cattle Raised with Purpose
No two breeders are building the exact same herd.
Some are looking for registered Scottish Highland genetics with proven pedigrees. Others are working toward a smaller frame, a particular color, heavier hair, improved structure, a non-chondro option or greater predictability through conventional and heifer-sexed semen.
Webb Cattle Company has built a diverse program around those different needs.

As the Webb breeding program expanded, Brad completed additional training in cattle artificial insemination and embryo transfer.
That knowledge became an important part of the farm’s reproductive program and eventually led to hands-on artificial insemination classes for cattle owners who wanted to better understand breeding, timing, handling and reproductive management.
The cattle, genetics, classes, and educational support are all connected. Each reflects the same commitment to learning, sharing useful information and helping other cattle owners move forward with their programs.
